Fire Rating Update - Cariboo-Chilcotin Region

Given the recent hot weather in our region - just a little reminder that the Wildfire Branch is reporting that the entire Cariboo-Chilcotin region is either has either a "low" or "moderate" fire rating as of 1:00pm today - see here.  With about 3 weeks left in the camping season - I encourage you to check out this information before heading off to your usual camping spot and don't forget to practice safe campfire techniques - including having water and tools on hand to put the fire out and ensuring your campfire is no bigger than 3 feet by 3 feet as per provincial rules.   Also - as of right now, there is no restrictions on either campfires or backwood use in the Cariboo Fire Center - see here for relevant and up to date information
