Quesnel: Share your walking stories and win prizes

From the City of Quesnel:

Editor's Note - I hope that the City of Williams Lake is looking at getting in on this as well.  If not - again, it would be disappointing but not surprising

Do you have a great photo, video or story about Quesnel's Riverfront Trail or any of the area's other great trails and hikes? If so, share it and you could win an amazing prize while helping the community win funding to make the trail even better.

Earlier this week, the Healthy Families BC Walking Challenge was launched. The contest, which urges residents to share their walking stories online, offers great prizes for individuals such as trips to amazing resorts and athletic gear. In addition, the five communities with the most postings (per population category) will win $10,000 to upgrade a local walking trail, with one of those five winning an additional $50,000.

Quesnel has an incredible trail system, and it's a great time of year to be out enjoying it. Residents are encouraged to take part, be eligible to win a prize, and help the community make the trail system even better.

To enter, visit www.healthyfamiliesbcwalkingchallenge.ca  click the "Find Your Community" button and upload your photos, videos and stories. You can also visit www.quesnel.ca and click the link to the challenge's website.

The contest lasts six weeks, so don't delay.
