Quesnel Fire Ban lifted

Courtesy of the City of Quesnel:

The campfire ban for the City of Quesnel is no longer in effect. All other open burning, such as fires to dispose of garden waste, is prohibited as usual.

The City made the decision today keeping in step with the Cariboo Fire Centre, which lifted its ban at noon today.

The fire risk has been reduced due to the cooler weather in the forecast however residents are urged to remain aware of fire risks.

To report a wildfire or unattended campfire call 1-800-663-5555 or *5555 on most cellular networks.
