Garbage Collection in South Quesnel?

At their Dec 17th, 2012 meeting - Quesnel Council asked its' Staff to survey residents' in the South Quesnel area to see if they desire to have Garbage Collection services provided by the City of Quesnel.  The deadline for the Survey is Wednesday Feb 20th

According to the information on the survey, cost to each property owner will be $72.00 per year (includes a garbage container), but there is a 10% discount if you pay by the due date indicated on the invoice

If approved by South Quesnel residents - Ken Coombs (Quesnel Director of Public Works) says the garbage collection service could be operational by this summer.  However, recycle depots will still remain the same at West Park Mall, the Sani Station on Front Street, Maple Park Mall and the Quesnel Landfill.

You can print a copy of the survey for yourself here

  1. How is it that the Mayor's subdivision gets this consideration ahead of all others? How was that decision arrived at? The Mayor is going all out to make this happen. What about the rest of us?
