$18,724.62 on legal fees this time around, according to the City of Williams Lake cheque registry which makes a year-to-date total of $131,510.13! A gross total since 2009 of $1.282,711.13 on legal expenses alone for the city of Williams lake. This council is on track to eclipse the staggering legal costs rung up by the Cook regime. Included in the total for 2016 are Mayor Walt Cobb’s personal legal expenses for conflict of interest allegations which council had no authority to pay.

The big question now is: will council again approve Cobb’s legal fees when the guy who complained about his conflict of interest seeks his disqualification from office through BC Supreme Court? They have already set a precedent by paying Kerry Cook’s legal expenses to criminal law firm LaLiberte Cronin in October 2014 when the City of Williams Lake senior managers were charged with corruption-related offences. Here’s the link to those sealed court records. https://justice.gov.bc.ca/cso/criminal/searchAccusedResult.do?serviceId=35534888
Congratulations, Council, Williams Lake is the only city in Canada that has a criminal record! We cannot afford any more of this gross incompetence. The entire council needs to go..

The expression WILLFUL BLINDNESS comes to mind when it comes to City council's oversight of spending for the City of Williams Lake especially where awarding of contracts is considered.

Senior managers were never charged with anything. Your link is bunk. I thought you only crawled out from under your rock at election time?
