Next Wednesday from 8am - 8pm, local voters throughout the Region will have an opportunity to cast advanced votes for new Mayors, Councillors, Electoral Area Directors' and School Trustees plus two referendum votes in North Cariboo (City of Quesnel voters only - borrow up to $8.5 million for new Public Works Building (click here) + CRD Areas A, B, C, I voters only - consent to new taxation to provide funding to Quesnel Regional Airport - (click here)
This past Monday - voters in Cariboo RD Area B heard from the 3 candidates running to succeed Jerry Bruce as the the Cariboo Regional District's Area B Director for the 2018-2022 term
Meanwhile - tonight at the Creekside Seniors' Centre in 100 Mile House -- voters in the District of 100 Mile House will hear from the 9 candidates for the 4 Councillor seats on the District of 100 Mile House Council plus the 3 candidates for the Mayor's seat on the District of 100 Mile House Council. Tomorrow evening from 5-9pm - the Williams Lake/District Chamber of Commerce will be holding a "Meet/Greet" for the 9 of 10 candidates for Williams Lake City Councillor (1 is not available) and the 2 candidates for Williams Lake Mayor in the Gibraltar Room at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex
Next week - there are all candidate forums as follows:
Tuesday, October 9th at 7pm - Cariboo RD Area F Director All Candidates Forum at the Miocene Community Hall
Wednesday, October 10th at 6:30pm - Cariboo RD Area F Director All Candidates Forum at the Likely Community Hall
As of this writing - I am not aware of any all candidate forums for School District 28 or 28 Trustees candidates or an all candidates forum for Cariboo RD Areas A, E, J, K, L or Quesnel City Council but happy to post the information if/when I learn of such meetings...
