The Chair recognized that the meeting was taking place on the traditional unceded territory of Williams Lake First Nation within Secwepemculecw and welcomed Alternate Director Roodenburg to today’s meeting
Meeting agenda adopted, as amended (Discussion Item from Dir. Forseth - Monthly Reports on Cariboo Memorial Hospital Project
Minutes of the previous Board Meeting were received/adopted, as corrected
Business:
1) The Board gave 1st, 2nd, 3rd Readings and Adoption to the following Capital Expenditure Bylaws:
* Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District Capital Expenditure (Northern Health – GR Baker Memorial OR Anesthetic Machines x2 Replacement) Bylaw No. 234, 2025
* Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District Capital Expenditure (Northern Health – GR Baker Memorial Ultrasound Replacement) Bylaw No. 235, 2025
2) The Board received "Information-only" items as of May 2nd, 2025 and took no further action
3) At the request of Director Forseth -- the Board discussed a lack of regular updates on the Cariboo Memorial Hospital project in Williams Lake. The Chair offered to facilitate with Interior Health a future presentation on the Cariboo Memorial Hospital project at a future CCRHD Board meeting …

1) JoAnn Francis, CPA, CA of PMT Chartered Professional Accountants, was in attendance to present the Audited 2024 CCRHD/Cariboo-Chilcotin Regional Hospital District Financial Statements

The Chair thanked Ms. Francis for her time/information
2) Lorne Sisley, Executive Director, Corporate Services, Brent Hobbs, Executive Director, Patient Access, Transport and Emergency Response, Dianne Kostachuk, Director of Business Operations and Heather Hair, Director of Clinical Operations for Interior Health was in attendance remotely to discuss the helipad decision at Cariboo Memorial Hospital
Following their presentation -- a Question/Answer period ensued
The Chair thanked the delegation for their time/information
Resolved -- That a letter be sent to Interior Health and BC Ministry of Health to investigate options for a heli-pad in Williams Lake
