The Chair recognized that the meeting was taking place on traditional, unceded Williams Lake First Nation territory within Secwepemculecw

Business:

1) Naming Rights and Sponsorship Information for CMRC (Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex)

The City's Community Services Facility Manager presented her report to the Committee

Committee Resolution: 

The Committee received for information the report of Brandy Links, Community Services Facility Manager, City of Williams Lake dated June 3, 2025 regarding information and options for a naming rights and sponsorship agreements policy for the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex and the Committee further directed that Staff continue to research this topic and report back at the Committee's September meeting

2) Discussion Items - the Committee discussed the following:

* Strategic Priorities Fund Application for Esler Sports Complex Access Road Project (continued from May 21st mtg)

Committee Resolution:

That the Committee recommend to Williams Lake City Council that a letter of support be provided to the Cariboo Regional District's Strategic Priority Fund application for the Esler 2nd Road Access Project

* Interior Health Harm Reduction Activities in Vicinity of Williams Lake Public Library

Committee Resolution: 

That Interior Health be invited to present at the Joint Committee meeting in September and in the interim, Staff advise Interior Health that their Peer Support program for Harm Reduction activities is not welcomed at either the Cariboo Regional District's Williams Lake Library Branch nor the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex

* City of Williams Lake Community Grants Program Policy Review & Additional 2026 Allocation for Community Safety and Cleanliness Services

* Joint Committee meeting times

3) The Committee received its' Action Page as of June 18, 2025
