$5 million in road repairs in Cariboo-Chilcotin

Close to $5 million worth of road projects are currently underway in the Cariboo-Chilcotin.

Here Donna Barnett, the Liberal MLA representing the area, provides some specifics: “Highway 20 7.92 km of seal coating out in the Chilcotin, Fox Mountain, 5.8 km, Hodgson Road, 3.6 km, and Dog Creek Road 1.3 km.”

Barnett says 65 km of West Fraser Road between Williams Lake and Quesnel is also being seal coated. She says that work will provide a smoother ride for motorists who wish to take an alternate route instead of Highway 97.

Barnett says funding for the work has come from Victoria and declares it will benefit the safety of the travelling public as well as improve the quality and lifespan of our roads.

She says all work will be completed by the end of this month.
