Happy Easter 2015

BC Premier Christy Clark and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper both noted Easter 2015 as follows:

BC Premier Christy Clark:

“This weekend, Christians around the world will celebrate Easter - commemorating the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“The Easter story reminds us of timeless values associated with the Christian faith: compassion, fellowship and sacrifice.

“I wish all British Columbians celebrating this holiday a meaningful Easter with their families, friends and faith communities.”

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper:

“Today, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all Christians in Canada and those around the world who are celebrating Easter.

“The most important feast of the Christian year, Easter, also known as Pascha, is the culmination of Holy Week, when Christians mark Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death on the Cross and celebrate his resurrection on the third day.

“For Christians, the celebration of Easter represents God's redemption of humanity and the triumph of life over death.

“On behalf of our entire family, Laureen and I wish all those celebrating a very happy and joyful Easter.”

On my own behalf  - may you all have a meaningful Easter in your own way and with your families today.  Be well!
