2018 RD Chairs'

During the month of November 2017 - all Regional District Boards in British Columbia were required, by provincial legislation, to conduct an election of Chair of the local Regional District Board for 2018.  See below chart for the election results:

As you can see above - 4 Regional District Boards' elected a new Chair for 2018 - namely; Cariboo, Capital, Strathcona and Sunshine Coast Regional Districts'

Meanwhile - RD Chairs' still remains predominately a male domain with only 7 of the 27 Regional District Boards' chaired by a female

The Chairs' 1 year term expire at the inaugural meetings of Regional District Boards' in November 2018, after the mandatory Saturday, October 20th, 2018 local government elections
