Specific Infrastructure Grant Programs for Electoral Areas/RD's

Over the weekend - I was asked by my uncle, Alan Forseth, to write an piece for his blog Thoughts on BC Politics and More regarding a blog post from Saanich North and the Islands MLA Adam Olsen regarding Local Government Financing, given my current role as an Electoral Area Director and my direct knowledge of challenges for local government financing, from an Electoral Area point of view

Essentially - I argue that current provincial/federal infrastructure programs are detrimental to BC's 155 Electoral Areas and their unincorporated communities infrastructure needs as we have to compete for the very limited infrastructure dollars vs incorporated communities (Municipal Councils') and yet people live in these unincorporated communities for the laid back lifestyle that unincorporated communities offer and have the right to basics like water/sewer, just like incorporated communities like Williams Lake/Quesnel/100 Mile House/Wells offer their residents' as well...
