Jazmyn Lyons runs for Williams Lake City Council

Last week -- local Williams Lake business owner and former Chair of the Board of the Downtown Williams Lake BIA (Business Improvement Association), Ms. Jazmyn Lyons, took to social media to announce her bid this October for a seat on the Williams Lake City Council - view her campaign Facebook page here

She now becomes 1 of 2 individuals seeking a seat as a Williams Lake City Councillor and isn't an incumbent.  The other is Micheal Moses who announced back on June 9th of this year - click here

As of this writing -- incumbent Williams Lake City Councillors' Sheila Boehm, Ivan Bonnell, Marnie Brenner, Scott Nelson, Jason Ryll and Craig Smith have yet to publicly announce their re-election plans for the October 15th, 2022 City of Williams Lake Local General Election.  Meanwhile - incumbent Williams Lake Mayor Walt Cobb will be facing a challenge, at this stage, for a 3rd time from former 1993-2014 Williams Lake City Councillor Surinderpal Rathor.  No others have announced bids for either Williams Lake Mayor or City Councillor

The formal candidate nomination period for those wanting to run for Williams Lake Mayor or City Councillor commences from Tuesday, August 30th to Friday, September 9th excluding the weekend of September 3rd + 4th, 2022 with General Voting Day for all eligible City of Williams Lake electors' (voters) occurring on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 from 8am to 8pm inclusive
