Our CRD Emergency Operations Centre is continuing to monitor the Chilcotin River Landslide event and everyone is reminded to stay informed and stay safe:
There is a continued increased risk of additional landslides and bank erosion on the Chilcotin River from the blockage to the confluence, and upstream where the lake drained.
There is a Flood Watch for the Chilcotin River upstream of the landslide and a Flood Watch for Chilcotin River downstream of the landslide to the Fraser River confluence.
Our current Evacuation Orders will continue to be in effect until assessments are done.
