The goals and intent of ParentsVoice BC is to have:
* children to be enabled to flourish according to their own aptitudes, opportunities, and needs
* critical, out-of-the-box thinkers; strong communicators; savvy risk-assessors
* More Education, Less Indoctrination
They currently have 3 elected School Trustees as part of their electoral organization -- 2 in the Nechako Lakes School District and 1 in the Chilliwack School District
This certainly will be new territory for School Trustee elections in British Columbia (especially for both the Cariboo-Chilcotin and Quesnel School Districts') and ParentsVoice BC will definitely have its' work cut out for them.... both for the 2026 + 2030 BC School Trustee Elections

Would love to hear ParentsVoicesBC clarify what they mean by “more education, less indoctrination”. This is pretty clear dog whistle. The fact that they had to clarify their political stance (“center” right) before anything else should tell you enough though. For a group of people that seems to scream it the most, would love to see the right practice what they preach for a change and leave the kids alone. The republicans already came for kids’ education down south with the cancelling of PBS and implementation of Prager U in schools, a right wing media company that literally tells kids slavery wasn’t that bad. Now it’s our turn as Canada always follows suit when people turn a blind eye. The timing of these changes are not coincidental. Vote wisely when it’s time people. Stop letting these quacks politicize and interfere with children’s education and lives. Hope I don’t have to say I told you so about this. Let’s keep the book banners out of the Cariboo.
