Event Hosting Grant Deadline May 31st

Courtesy of the City of Williams Lake:

The City of Williams Lake offers Event Hosting Grants to help local non-profit organizations host successful multi-day events. Multi-day tournaments, conferences, and cultural events that appeal to a regional, provincial, national, and international audience positively impact our local economy.

Designed to help organizations struggling to find seed money to expand an existing event or create a new event, these funds are administered twice annually, with application deadlines on May 31st and November 30th each year.

In order to qualify, the host organization must be a local registered non-profit. As well, the event must take place after the submission deadline and be held within the City of Williams Lake taxation area.

Past successful applicants include the Williams Lake Figure Skating Club, Williams Lake Off Road Motorcycle Club, St. Peters Anglican Church, Williams Lake Elks Club, Women’s Contact Society, Barrel Racing Club, Cariboo Mountain Bike Consortium, Gizeh Shriners of BC, and Tl’etinqoxT’in Government Office.

Please review the Event Hosting Grant Policy online at http://www.williamslake.ca/DocumentCenter/View/1498 or pick up a copy at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
