Being led by former Vancouver Mayor Kennedy Stewart (2018-2022) -- a group is launching a court bid to the BC Supreme Court to ask that Court to rule that "at large" municipal council elections in British Columbia should be declared illegal, as per Section 2b (Freedom of Expression) and 15 (Equality Rights) of the Canadian Charter of Rights/Freedoms and instead that "ward or neighbour" elections should take place for all 161 Municipal Councils' in British Columbia as it would allow for more-rounded municipal councils' in BC....

I'll be following this closely .... especially to see if at large municipal council elections violate Section 15 (Equality Rights) of the Canadian Charter.... while this is targeted at BC's bigger cities like Vancouver, Surrey, etc.... it'll be interesting to see if this eventually impacts on all 161 Municipal Councils' in BC
