Cariboo RD Area "A" By-Election 2026 - Nomination Period Closes

Following the termination of the nomination period for the Cariboo Regional District's Area "A" by-election on January 16, 2026 at 4:00pm -- two individuals have been formally nominated for the position of Cariboo Regional District Area "A" Director to complete the remainder of the 2022-2026 term, as follows: 

* Nicole Audet

* Chris Helmink

Following a standard 7 day candidate withdrawal period (January 16 to 23, 2026) -- the Cariboo Regional District's Chief Election Officer (assuming no candidate withdraws) will then make a formal declaration in the afternoon of January 23, 2026 that a "Election by Voting" will be required... and that will take place on February 21, 2026
