The Chair recognized that the meeting was taking place on traditional, unceded Williams Lake First Nation territory within Secwepemculecw

Delegations: 

5:30pm -- Brian Hansen, from the Indoor Turf Facility Working Group, appeared before the Committee to discuss information on current activities

5:50pm -- Stacey Miranda, Director of Community Services, from the City of Williams Lake and Montana Russell appeared before the Committee to present information on a request to place artwork in the lobby of the West Fraser Aquatic Centre of the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex in Williams Lake

Response to Delegations:

1) That City of Williams Lake and Cariboo Regional District Staff bring forward to the next Central Cariboo Joint Committee meeting a proposal for the makeup of a Working Group for the development of an Indoor Multi-Use Facility

2) That the Central Cariboo Joint Committee approve placing the described artwork created by Montana Russell in her presentation on a wall in the West Fraser Aquatic Centre lobby

Business:

1) The Committee received Information-Only items, as follows:

* CCACS FALL 2025 Grant Award Update

* 2025 Performances in the Park Report - Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society

* CMRC (Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex) Grant Application for Building Accessibility Upgrade Projects

2) Discussion Item: 

a) Clarification on CCJC Intention for SD27 Invitation on Joint Use Facilities Agreement

Resolved: 

That Staff report back to the February 2026 Central Cariboo Joint Committee meeting regarding renewing, in 2026, the Joint Use Agreement between TRU (Thompson Rivers' University), Cariboo RD, School District #27, City of Williams Lake and District of 100 Mile House
