The Cariboo Regional District has made some minor amendments to Evacuation Order and Alert announced today as a result of the aggressive fire activity on the Puntzi Lake fire.
The Puntzi Lake fire has exhibited extremely aggressive behaviour due to strong winds and dry fuels and grew from 7,000 hectares today.
An Emergency Social Services Reception Centre has been established at the Cariboo Regional District offices in Williams Lake at 180 D North Third Avenue. The CRD's EOC Public Information line is 250-398-5117.
Residents are reminded to register for the Cariboo Chilcotin Emergency Notification System by visiting the Cariboo Regional District at cariboord.ca.
