The Cariboo Regional District’s Chief Elections Officer has declared the results of the South Cariboo Highway Rescue Referendum held last Saturday as official. A total of 611 residents cast their ballots with 86 per cent saying yes to the service. The south Cariboo will continue to receive this service as a result of the successful referendum, with the exception of a small portion of Electoral Area G which is already covered by Central Cariboo Search and Rescue.
