Meeting chaired by Mayor W. Cobb and he called the meeting to order at 5:30pm

Minutes of the April 24th Joint Committee meeting were received/adopted

Delegations:

1) Leah Selk and Harry Jennings, Central Cariboo Arts & Culture Society re 2018 CCACS Annual Report

Mr. Jennings/Ms. Selk appeared before the Committee to discuss the 2018 CCACS Annual Report

2) Kirk Dressler & Brian Hansen, Williams Lake Youth Soccer Association and Ingo Seibert, Lake Excavating / Avian Developments re Prospects for an Indoor Soccer Facility in Williams Lake

Messrs. Dressler, Hansen and Seibert appeared before the Committee to discuss Prospects for an Indoor Soccer Facility in Williams Lake.  Presentation to Joint Committee can be viewed here

The Chair, on behalf of the Committee, thanked Messrs.. Dressler, Hansen and Seibert for their time/information

Resolved:

That it be recommended to Regional Board/WL City Council:

That the Central Cariboo/City of Williams Lake Joint Committee re-affirms its' support in principle for an indoor turf facility and that a technical Committee be formed with representation from City of WL, CRD and WL Indian Band to review:

* Siting of Indoor Turf Facility
* Ownership structure
* Funding/financing
* Construction and procurement

And report back to Joint Committee by the end of 2019...
