Cariboo-Chilcotin Local Government Meetings - Week of March 13-17, 2023

During the week of March 13-17, 2023 -- the following Local Governments or Boards' of Education of the Cariboo-Chilcotin will be holding meetings as follows:

Quesnel -- Financial Sustainability/Audit Committee/Regular Meeting on Wednesday, March 15th at 9am in Quesnel Council Chambers (4th Floor, 410 Kinchant St).  On the Agenda:

* Fraser River Footbridge Landing/Trail Lighting
* Update on status of 2022 Surplus as at December 31st, 2022

School District #28 (Quesnel) - Regular Board of Education Meeting on Wednesday, March 15th at 7pm in the SD28 Boardroom (401 North Star Rd, Quesnel).  When available, the meeting Agenda can be viewed here

Williams Lake - Special Committee of the Whole Session on Tuesday, March 14th at 6pm in WL Council Chambers (450 Mart St, Williams Lake).  Meeting will NOT be livestreamed.  On the Agenda:

* Submission of 2023 NCLGA/North Central Local Government Association Resolution -- Ride-hailing Services

* Continuing Discussions on 2023 Budget
* Snow/Ice Control Policy Discussion -- Enhancement of Service for Sidewalk snow removal
* Seniors Centre Increased Accessible Parking & General Parking Stalls

Cariboo Regional District -- North Cariboo Sub-Regional Committee Meetings, as follows:

1) North Cariboo Rural Directors' Caucus -- Regular Meeting on Tuesday, March 14th at 3pm in the CRD Quesnel Office (101-410 Kinchant St, Quesnel).  On the Agenda:

* Delegation: Dr. Jon Fine from the North Cariboo Seniors Council in attendance to provide an update on the activities of the North Cariboo Seniors Council 

* North Cariboo Agricultural Marketing Association - Farming Agriculture Rural Marketing Eco-Diversification (FARMED) - Continuing discussion on their financial request 

* Discussion Item -- Participation in 2023 Coy Cup Opening Ceremonies

2) North Cariboo Joint Committee/Regular Meeting on Tuesday, March 14th at 5:30pm in Quesnel Council Chambers.  On the Agenda:

* Revisit 2023 Pool Referendum, as referred back to the Committee by the Cariboo RD Board at their Feb 24th, 2023 meeting

* Pool Referendum Update #3
* Emergency Expenditures at West Fraser Centre/Quesnel Youth Soccer Facility

Finally -- Mayors, Councillors and Area Directors of the Cariboo-Chilcotin will be attending the 2023 EOS/Elected Official Seminar for the NCLGA Region, as put on by the Local Government Leadership Academy from Wednesday to Friday, March 15-17, 2023 in the City of Prince George.  The draft Agenda for this three day session can be viewed here.  In my capacity as NCLGA President -- I will have a couple of speaking engagements.  Firstly, during Opening Comments on Wednesday, March 15th and then on Friday, March 17th -- to provide comments about what the NCLGA is and how we can help NCLGA members meet their political goals... 

As always -- I will provide a "Post Event Report" upon my return from the LGLA EOS Session in Prince George...
