2026 Declaration of Election by Voting | Cariboo-Chilcotin Local Governments or Boards of Education

Following the candidate challenge or withdraw period which expired on Friday, September 18th, 2026 at 4pm

The Chief Election Officers for Wells, Quesnel, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, Cariboo Regional District and School Districts #27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) and #28 (Quesnel) have now declared that an Election by Voting is Required, as follows:

1) District of Wells

Following the close of the nomination and withdrawal period, the District’s Chief Election Officer has declared eleven candidates for office in the District of Wells.  Eligible voters will elect one Mayor and four Councillors.  

The term of office will be four years starting November 2026.
