Following the presentation -- a discussion ensued thereon....

Committee Recommendation to Williams Lake Council:

That Council receive this report for information; and further: 

1. That Council use the attached summary to inform discussions and advocacy efforts at the upcoming UBCM Convention; 

2. That, following the 2026 UBCM Convention, staff review the immediate, local level recommendations from the attached survey for potential options to consider in the near/medium term; 

3. That information gathered through the survey, interviews, and public engagement session be used to help inform future strategic planning and current community safety initiatives, as well as the 2027 budget process. 

4. Advocate for more complex addiction/mental health care beds for Williams Lake...
