I have received the following press release:
We are pleased to announce the return of Science World to our region.
On March 3rd, 2012 local organizations, schools, the TRU Science Department and regional businesses will take part in this fun and educational community event. Bringing this all together is the Williams Lake Community Science Celebration Committee headed by TRU's local Chemistry Faculty, Marten Lettinga.
The Committee is recruiting volunteers to assist in organizing, this memorable day for both young and old.
Marten Lettinga says "This is a great opportunity for families and kids to experience Science first hand, when they might not necessarily have that chance otherwise."
A very successful program when Science World rolls into town is "Big Science For Little Hands" workshops for both kindergarten and pre-schooler educators.
The Science World On The Road Tour, will be in the schools the week leading up to the main show at the local TRU University Campus giving distant communities and schools a chance to quench their knowledge for science.
Anyone interested in volunteering with the Williams Lake Community Science Celebration Committee are asked to call 250-392-8112 or e-mail mlettinga@tru.ca
If the media have any further questions you can contact any of the following Committee members at the following emails and thank you all for your cooperation.
