The Cariboo Regional District Library (CRDL) Lac La Hache Community Branch has found a new home in the Lac La Hache Elementary School. The space has been renovated and rejuvenated and presents a bright welcoming presence.
The space includes new adult seating, along with new lounge seats and seats for the children’s space which will be arriving soon.
“We are pleased this location ensures the library is in an evolving community centre that is sure to be well-used by Lac La Hache residents,” says CRD Chair Al Richmond. “We look forward to meeting the community at the Library and introducing our new Lac La Hache Community Librarian, Katherine McKibbin.”
The Library is located in the Lac La Hache Elementary School at 4787 Clarke Avenue with Public Hours of operation as follows:
Wednesdays 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This is the kind of SMART thinking we need. I have wondered for many years why schools and public libraries were not combined together. Congrats to those involved at the CRD and the School District!
