Long time MLA Linda Reid (Richmond East) argues today in the Canadian Parliamentary Review magazine as to why Parliamentary reform is required in BC - see here
Ms. Reid's ideas are in line with mine, as far as how I'd like to see the BC Legislature operate. I'd also like to see more Opposition bills (proposed laws) debated and voted on - like they are in the House of Commons. All ideas, whether from government backbenchers or opposition MLA's, should all be considered and voted on. You never know - MLA's, regardless of their status, may agree with their colleagues and vote accordingly. We've certainly seen this in the House of Commons...
