Meet 'n Greet Session at WL Seniors' Village

WL Seniors Village
16 of the 17 Candidates for the City of WL Municipal Election (Mayor/Councillor) were at Williams Lake Seniors' Village Thursday evening to make their pitch to the residents.

Each candidate was given time to introduce themselves.  One funny moment was when Councillor Surinderpal Rathor spoke so loudly, by holding the mike too close to his mouth, that you felt his voice inside of you

Two other candidates - Councillor candidate Paul Kandola and Mayoralty candidate Scott Nelson made their positions clear on the Phase 3 issue at the WL Seniors' Village, that seniors' alone should live at the facility and not a combination of seniors' and students.

After all candidates spoke - Nancy Giesbrecht (Marketing Coordinator) clarified that "Independent Units" within the Phase 3 building - all units would be for seniors' only

A Meet and Greet session then took place with the 16 Municipal election candidates

The next forum will be Monday at 7pm at TRU for the Williams Lake Mayoralty Candidates
The next forum for Williams Lake Councillor candidates will be 7pm on Monday, Nov 14th at 7pm, again at TRU

Both of these forums are sponsored by a consortium of non-profit groups in Williams Lake
