BikeBC | Deadline: January 10, 2014

BikeBC is a 50/50 cost-sharing program between the Province and local governments. This year’s investment will help create more than $2.28 million in cycling infrastructure. $500,000 is available to help BC communities with smaller scale projects, such as bike lanes and paths through the Cycling Infrastructure Partnerships Program (CIPP). Quesnel Community Foundation | Letter of Intent Deadline: January 10, 2014

The Quesnel Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2014 Grant Cycle. Community groups within the City of Quesnel and the north Cariboo (CRD Areas A, B, C and I) are eligible to apply. The Department of Canadian Heritage provides financial support for activities organized on specific days during the Celebrate Canada period, from June 21 to July 1. The Celebrate Canada period includes National Aboriginal Day on June 21, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day on June 24, Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27 and Canada Day on July 1. Canada Summer Jobs provides funding to help employers create summer job opportunities for students. It is designed to focus on local priorities, while helping both students and their communities. Canada Summer Jobs provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create summer job opportunities for young people aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year. 2014 Central Cariboo Arts & Culture Society Project Grants | Deadline: January 31, 2014

Project grants are available for non-profit organizations or community groups in Williams Lake and the central Cariboo (CRD Areas D, E, and F) to support and develop arts and culture within this region. Project Grants of between $300 and $2,000 are available for projects which are new or build creatively on previous work and are likely to increase participation in arts & culture. Canadian Women’s Foundation Violence Prevention Grants | Deadline: February 3, 2014 | @cdnwomenfdn

The Canadian Women’s Foundation provides grants to incorporated, non-profit organizations with a valid charitable/business number from Canada Revenue Agency, or First Nations Bands designated as qualified donees. The Annual Violence Prevention Grants Program will support:

· prevention work involving teens and/or girls
· women’s organizations and programs in Canada to help women and children rebuild their lives after the crisis of experiencing violence
· loan funds: provide interest-free loan funds to women who have experienced domestic violence to aid them in becoming financially independent
· groups working together in a region, province, and territory or nationally to share resources, to build capacity, to advocate or to support women survivors’ participation

RBC Blue Water Community Action Grants | Deadline: February 3, 2014 | @RBC_Canada

Community organizations are eligible for a grant of up to $10,000 for initiatives that help protect and preserve water in towns, cities and urbanized areas with populations of more than 10,000 people. Projects may focus on:

· Improved control and management of urban storm or rain water
· Efficient and innovative use (or capture and reuse) of water in towns and cities
· Protection and restoration of urban waterways
· Improved urban water quality
