WL Council meets Tuesday

As we start 2014 -- Williams Lake Council becomes the 1st local government in the Cariboo-Chilcotin to meet this year.  Councils' in Quesnel, Wells, 100 Mile House, the Cariboo RD Board and Boards of Education for School Districts #27/28 will be meeting in the next 2 weeks

On Tuesday - WL Council meets in Committee of the Whole.  On the Agenda:

1) Management Compensation Policy - City Manager Garceau to report on this item.  Executive Committee of Council (Mayor Cook & Councillors Zacharias/Bonnell) has reviewed this item extensively

Proposed changes include:

a) New Salary Range Grid for a new person hired for a Management Position (GM of Planning and Operations, etc)

b) Updated Termination Provisions

2) Further discussions on Highway 97/Johnson Street project.  This is not the report that Council asked for at their Dec 17th, 2013 meeting to hire a traffic engineer - that report will be presented at the Jan 14th, 2014 WL Council meeting.  The report on the Agenda is the same one Council considered at the Dec 17th meeting so I have no insight as to what will be discussed at Tuesday's meeting, at the time of this writing

Update (Sat Jan 4th at 8:02am) - I have received the following from Williams Lake City Mgr. D. Garceau on above...

The intent of the discussion is to walk through the process, the project given that this never happened on the 17th (December, 2013)
