Minutes of the Committee of the Whole meeting held on October 22nd, 2020 were received/adopted
Delegations:
The Committee received delegations in respect of Agriculture Planning in the Cariboo Regional District, as follows:
a) Dr. David Connell, Associate Professor, Ecosystem Science and Management, University of Northern British Columbia
b) Nicole Pressey, Regional Agrologist, Cariboo Chilcotin Coast, Ministry of Agriculture
c) Gregory Bartle, Land Use Planner for Strengthening Farming, Ministry of Agriculture
d) Lori Fogarty/Martin Rossman -- North Cariboo Agricultural Development Advisory Committee
Following their presentations and a Question/Answer period -- The Chair thanked the delegations for their time/information
Business:
The Committee considered/reviewed a letter from David Zirnhelt, Chair, Cariboo Agricultural Research Alliance, providing background information about their organization and initiatives and the Committee agreed to receive the letter; invite the Alliance to a future Board Meeting and Staff develop a discussion paper in respect of Agriculture for consideration at a future Committee of the Whole meeting
