Yesterday, the Wildwood Fire Hall on Wildwood Rd, Wildwood (Cariboo RD - Area "D") was a busy and hoping place from 12-3pm. I personally spent almost 2 hours at this event....
Both the Wildwood Fire Department and Community Association jointly put on the Open House to introduce the newer community members of Wildwood to these 2 vital organizations and to build community. I am advised that several people took interest in working with the Wildwood Community Association and their email addresses were noted for future follow-up
As the Cariboo RD Area "D" Director -- I personally thanked Wildwood FD Fire Chief Brad Elliot and his Fire Department and Wildwood Community Association Co-Chair Anna Jenner and her Executive for putting on such a wonderful event on Saturday, August 7th. They all did a marvelous job and it was great to see the community - both kids and "kids at heart" - out to this wonderful event. I previously agreed to contribute $1,000 from the Cariboo RD Area "D" Grant for Assistance fund for this event and it was definitely money well spent yesterday, given the more wonderful comments I heard from Wildwood community members yesterday....
