Moose Valley Area #2 Evacuation ORDER (Cariboo RD - Area "G")

An Evacuation Order has been issued by Cariboo Regional District at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) for 22 parcels in Moose Valley Area #2.  This order covers 33717 hectares.

This order is rescinding and replacing the Moose Valley Area Order issued at 11:30 am on Friday, August 13, 2021

This order is rescinding and replacing a portion of the 108 Mile Ranch West Area Alert issued at 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

This order is rescinding and replacing a portion of the Flat Lake West Area Alert issued at 1:30 pm on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

This order is rescinding and replacing a portion of the Flat Lake North Area Alert issued at 3:30 pm on Friday, July 16, 2021.

Due to immediate danger to life safety due to fire, members of the RCMP or other groups will be expediting this action.

Evacuation route:  Highway 97 to 100 Mile House

Emergency Service Centre (ESS): 100 Mile House Community Hall - 265 Birch Avenue

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

• You must leave the area immediately
• Register at the ESS Centre listed above
• Close all windows and doors
• Do not shut off your natural gas if you receive an evacuation order. For more information visit www.fortisbc.com
• Close gates (latch) but do not lock
• Gather your family: take a neighbour or someone who needs help
• Take critical items (medicine, purse, wallet, and keys) only if they are immediately available. Take pets in pet kennels or on leash.
• Do not use more vehicles than you have to.
• Do not use the telephone unless you need emergency service.
