District of Wells By-Election Nomination Period starts today!

Starting today (December 21st, 2021) until Friday December 31st, 2021 -- the District of Wells' Chief Election Officer can receive nominations for the Office of Mayor and Office of Councillor (3).  Read the official notice from the District here.  The date of the By-Election is to be held on Saturday, February 5th, 2022

As of the writing of this post -- former Quesnel City Councillor, Barkerville CEO Ed Coleman will be running for the position of the Mayor of Wells (click here).  In addition, former Wells Councillor Jordan Rohatynski resigned from the District of Wells Council on November 23rd, 2021 in order to run for the position of Mayor of Wells.  However, there is no publicly known information on individuals looking to run for the 3 vacant Councillor positions on the District of Wells' Council
