WL Council Highlights - January 11th mtg

Meeting called to order - 6:00pm

Mayor Cobb recognized that the meeting was taking place on traditional Northern Shuswap territory

Meeting Agenda approved
Minutes of the City Council meeting held on December 21st, 2021 were received/adopted

Delegations/Presentations: None

Business:

1) Council received for information the accounts payable computer cheque and EFT listings dated December 17 and 23, 2021 and January 7, 2022

2) Council authorized up to $15,450.00 from the Pandemic Fund (COVID Safe Restart Grant Funds) to the Community Services Department Family Day Budget for 2022 to increase the celebrations on Family Day for February 21, 2022 and that staff be directed to develop the plan and implement the activities in local park settings concluding the Family Day Celebration with a Stampede Grounds bonfire and fireworks display

3) Council proclaimed the week of January 23 to 29, 2022 as "Family Literacy Week" in the City of Williams Lake

4) Council received the Council Information Package as of January 11th, 2022

Mayor Cobb provided an verbal update on the COVID-19 Pandemic

Members of Council reported on their recent activities

Council agreed to adjourn at 6:23pm
