With no local governments in the Cariboo-Chilcotin meeting next week -- I expect most will be off to the lake or campsites to enjoy the BC Day Long Weekend
If you are off to your favourite lake/campsite this long weekend - don't forget to check if you are allowed to have that ol' campfire but I expect, due to long running hot weather, that campfire bans will be on in most areas, if not all areas, of BC this long weekend (I am just returning from the Lower Mainland where my 4 day camping trip from July 23-27 permitted me a campfire due to cool/rainy weather). Best place to check on a campfire ban is at the BC Wildfire Branch website here
