An individual is identifying themselves as a City employee asking citizens to inspect their furnace and is then asking for payment after inspecting said furnace. This is a SCAM. The City of Quesnel DOES NOT inspect furnaces or request immediate payment for any work done on location. If anyone is identifying themselves as a City employee and is asking to inspect your furnace, please call the RCMP at 250-992-9211. Remember: ALL City employees can be identified by driving an official City vehicle (City logo is visible on the side of the vehicle), will carry an official City business card and/or will have a letter stating their business on official City letterhead.
