Williams Lake City Hall is CLOSED

Courtesy of the City of Williams Lake:

The City of Williams Lake maintains its commitment to deliver essential services that the community relies upon during this time of Provincial State of Emergency. Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation and following the recommendation of public health officials, the City of Williams Lake will be closing City Hall to the public as of 12:00pm Thursday, March 19th, 2020 until further notice.
“Out of an abundance of caution, and to ensure the safety of our staff and the public, we have taken a proactive step in line with the recommendations of the Provincial Health Officer,” said Milo Macdonald, Chief Administrative Officer. “I would like the public to feel assured that services that residents rely on will continue to operate, and we have the required staff to maintain these services on duty. We understand that this can create an inconvenience for some, and we ask for the public’s understanding as we work to limit the effect that COVID-19 could have on our community.”
As we continue to provide service, anyone requiring assistance from City Hall is asked to call or email the appropriate department listed below, and support will be given over the phone or electronically where possible.
At this time, the City’s Public Works offices and Fire Hall are closed to the public as well. The Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex is closed until further notice. The Williams Lake Regional Airport is still operational, but we advise all passengers to check flight statuses with their airline.
