The City of Quesnel has launched a new web mapping system to host Q-City Maps, providing users more functionality and accessibility.
Users can view property information and create personalized maps that can be printed or saved. Various mapping layers such as zoning, floodplain area and bus stop locations are featured within the system, giving users the flexibility to create their own personalized map. The City will be actively adding new layers and maps to continually improve the user experience.
The new mapping system is hosted by Lightship. Lightship is an internet-based data management system that can display large amounts of information in the form of online mapping. The new mapping system is accessible on a wide range of web browser and mobile devices, and does not require users to download any additional software.
