What is the biggest challenge facing your business today?

Courtesy of the City of Quesnel:

The Quesnel Business Support Team wants to hear from the business community. The team, made up of staff from the City of Quesnel, Quesnel & District Chamber of Commerce, and Community Futures North Cariboo, are asking one question: What is the biggest challenge facing your business today?
Business owners and managers in the North Cariboo can provide their feedback through an online platform called Thought Exchange. Businesses will be asked a few questions for categorization purposes and will then have an opportunity to share their challenge. Once they’ve entered the biggest challenge for their business, they will be able to see and rank challenges faced by other businesses. Businesses owners and managers are encouraged to participate, here: https://tinyurl.com/businessinquesnel
The responses business owners leave will be anonymous, but may be sorted by sector and size of business. The Business Support Team will work together to support the business community through these top challenges in the coming months.
In early April, the City of Quesnel, Community Futures North Cariboo, Quesnel & District Chamber of Commerce, Quesnel Downtown Association, West Quesnel Business Association and District of Wells came together to launch the Quesnel Business Support Hotline. The Hotline call team has called out to 775 businesses in the North Cariboo offering support in navigating the funding programs available to business during the Covid-19 pandemic. Direct support has been provided to 225 businesses. The hotline call team will be following up with those businesses over the coming weeks and the hotline remains open for those businesses with questions about the programs. Businesses may call 1-888-241-7714, Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4 pm.
“Our business community has been through a lot over the past few years. Covid-19 is hitting on top of mill closures, curtailments, and wildfires. We want to hear about the hardest pressure points from business in order best to tailor our supports to meet their needs,” Amy Reid, Manager of Economic Development & Tourism, City of Quesnel.
“Community Futures is happy to be working with the City of Quesnel, Quesnel & District Chamber of Commerce and our BIAs in a collaborative way to maximize the support available to our business community,” says Greg Lawrence, General Manager, Community Futures North Cariboo.
“Working as a team ensures each organization is aware of the others’ activities and there is no duplication of effort. We’re listening, and ready to work together to help business through this time.” Kathy Somerville, Executive Director, Quesnel & District Chamber of Commerce.
