WL City Councillor Marnie Brenner apologizes

After the Williams Lake Indian Band called for the resignation of Williams Lake City Councillor Marnie Brenner for comments she made in reference to residential schools at Tuesday's Williams Lake City Council meeting -- she has now issued a "sincere apology" for her comments... Also - I am informed that WLIB Chief Willie Sellars was on CBC Radio earlier in the afternoon and indicated that he would be reaching out to Councillor Brenner and inviting her to meet with his Band Council.  I think that is a gracious move on Chief Sellars' part and is in line with what I said on Facebook which was that a private meeting between her/WLIB Band Council would be a good exercise to undertake and is in line with the efforts of reconciliation.... 

I'm hopeful that this meeting will occur and good things will come from the meeting...
