88 Days to Cariboo-Chilcotin Local Government Elections 2022

Today marks exactly 88 days until the voters' in Wells, Quesnel, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House and the Cariboo Regional District elect new Electoral Area Directors, School Trustees, Mayors and Councillors for the 2022-2026 Term on Saturday, October 15th, 2022

2022 Local Government or Board of Education Nomination packages will be available for pickup by potential candidates starting in early to mid-August 2022 from the Districts of Wells/100 Mile House, Cities of Quesnel/Williams Lake, Boards of Education for School Districts #27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) and #28 (Quesnel) and the Cariboo Regional District with local government or Board of Education candidates' NOT being able to file their fully completed nomination forms with the local government or Board of Education Chief Election Officer or their Deputy until August 30th to September 9th, 2022

As of this writing -- incumbent Cariboo Regional District Areas "A" & "D" Directors Mary Sjostrom/Steve Forseth; Wells Mayor Ed Coleman, Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson and Williams Lake Mayor Walt Cobb have all announced bids for re-election

In addition -- Michael Moses has announced a bid for a Williams Lake City Councillor seat; former Williams Lake City Councillor Surinderpal Rathor announcing a 3rd bid to become the next Mayor of Williams Lake and District of 100 Mile House Councillor Maureen Pinkney announcing a bid to become the next Mayor of 100 Mile House
