Battle in Cariboo RD Area "E" in October 15th Local Election (Round 2)

In a repeat of the 2018 Cariboo RD Area "E" Election -- Cariboo Regional District Area "E" resident (and past Area "E" Director) Melynda Neufeld put in her nomination papers wishing to become the Cariboo RD Area "E" Electoral Area "E" Director this October.  Current Cariboo RD Area "E" Electoral Area "E" Director Angie Delainey has also put in her nomination papers seeking re-election

In the 2018 Local General Election -- Director Delainey won her seat by a comfortable margin of 262-189 in favour of Director Delainey as well as winning the April 7th, 2018 By-Election for this same Electoral Area by a vote count of 96-60, also in favour of Director Delainey

The other Electoral Area that has multiple nominees is Area "K" (East Chilcotin) which is another battle between incumbent Area "K" Director Chad Mernett vs his predecessor, Betty Anderson who served as the Area "K " Director from 2014-2018.  

Currently -- Areas A,B,C,D,F,G,H,I,J and L have a single candidate per Electoral Area

The deadline to submit a completed nomination package to the Cariboo Regional District's Chief Election Officer is this Friday at 4pm sharp!
