Bob Simpson for BC NDP Leader

Earlier today, in criticizing the Liberals for ramming the Clean Energy Act through the BC Legislature last Thursday, Bob Simpson (Cariboo-North MLA) said in the Williams Lake Tribune:

“I would not be surprised to see Campbell take his leave, and the Liberals use the fall for a leadership convention and to get their house in order,” he says, adding the NDP is not without its own leadership challenges.

“Carole [James, leader of the NDP] committed to the electorate that we recognized we have to say more about what we stand for, and what we would do in government,” he says. “We haven’t done that for the past year because of the gift horse of the deficit and the HST. We have to say what is we’ll do (in government), what people will be voting for"

So, is Bob Simpson opening the door for a public challenge to the leadership of Carole James as Leader of the BC NDP? Perhaps MLA Simpson is getting frustrated with her leadership and is putting out this challenge to Ms. James's leadership...Not surprising as you can't do much as a Opposition MLA compared with the power and prestige as a Government MLA.

How many more times (elections) will Bob hang out with the BC NDP and his fellow MLA losers' before he either quits or joins the Liberals in order to effect the changes that he seeks in British Columbia?
