Williams Lake Tribune has a story about Mayor Kerry Cook speculating on the future location of the Station House Gallery. See the story here
But this story raises a couple of questions:
1) Why not use money from the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Function? After all, that is why taxpayers' are being taxed for projects like this (building maintenance)? It is well known that the Station Gallery Station serves not only Williams Lake but the Central Cariboo area.
2) Mayor Cook stated in the article that the Station House Gallery could move close to the museum
Quote ---
"Moving it near the museum, Cook says, would enhance the museum and traffic to it and the Station House Gallery"
The only place that would fit that would be Cariboo Lodge and if that happen, I believe that seniors' in this community would be outraged at such a move. Cariboo Lodge needs to be set aside for seniors' care, period, end of story.
If the Station House Gallery needs to be moved, look for places downtown or save some money for a new Station House Gallery which could include a new Museum
