City of WL CAO's take on CFIB Report on Muncipal Spending

Last week, I noted the Canadian Federation of Independent Business or CFIB came out with its' annual report on Muncipal Spending.  See that blog post here

Now - Brian Carruthers as City of WL CAO provides his take on the CFIB report at his blog here

However, one comment of his I take some issue with:

To reduce or eliminate any of these, or other services the City provides I would argue would not bve acceptable to our residents.

I think that statement is pretty pompeous to make given the City has never actually come to residents' and said "Do you prefer stable property taxes with the necessary cuts to public services or mantain current service levels, even if that meant property taxes had to rise accordingly?"
