Congrats on Quesnel Councillor Peter Couldwell for 20 years of Public Service

Last night, the City of Quesnel paid homage to Councillor Peter Couldwell who has served as a Quesnel City Councillor for 20 years.  According to the City of Quesnel website, Councillor Couldwell was presented with plaques, warm messages and gifts from a variety of dignitaries, City of Quesnel Staff, community organizations in Quesnel and the general public in Quesnel.  Councillor Couldwell also received a standing ovation for his 20 years of dedication to the City of Quesnel and its' residents

In the Cariboo-Chilcotin, very few reach the plateau of 20 years or more of public service to local governments and their residents.  Currently, the following politicians (to the best of my knowledge) have served for 20 years (or close to it) or longer:

1) CRD Area 'A' Director & CRD Board Vice-Chair Ted Armstrong - 35 years
2) Quesnel City Councillor Peter Couldwell - 20 years
3) Williams Lake City Councillor SPS Rathor - 17 years
