This past Wednesday -- the Cariboo Regional District hosted a public meeting on what the Directors' for Areas D, E, F should do post Jan 1, 2013 for Rural Fringe Fire Protection. Read my blog post on this meeting here
In the meantime - the Cariboo Regional District is now collecting survey forms posing the following questions to rural fringe residents' in Areas D, E, F and forms can be submitted until Friday, September 21st at 4:30pm to your local Area Director or the CRD Office in Williams Lake.

For Area D Rural Fringe Residents:
A) Do you wish to continue to receive fire protection services from the City of Williams Lake at a rate of $140 per $100,000 of residential assessment?
B) Do you wish to receive your fire protection services from the Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department at a rate of $111 per $100,000 of residential assessment?
For Area E Rural Fringe Residents:
A) Do you wish to continue to receive fire protection services from the City of Williams Lake at a rate of $140 per $100,000 of residential assessment?
B) Do you wish to be without fire protection service until we are able to establish a new service to provide fire protection to your area at a rate of approximately $100 per $100,000 of residential assessment? Editor's Note - the Cariboo Regional District indicates in its' FAQ on this subject that the startup of a new Fire Department for Area 'E' could take up to two (2) years to become operational
C) Do you wish to be without fire protection services indefinitely?
For Area F Rural Fringe Residents:
A) Do you wish to continue to receive fire protection services from the City of Williams Lake at a rate of $140 per $100,000 of residential assessment?
B) Do you wish to receive your fire protection services from the 150 Mile House Volunteer Fire at a rate of $68 per $100,000 of residential assessment?
