Use of a local government logo...

In a "head-scratching" moment...

On August 28th - local resident Christine Hornby, an opponent to the 'New Prosperity' and 'Prosperity' Mine proposals, wrote the Federal Review Panel sharing her photos of Fish Lake.  Read her letter here

However, the 1st page shows the logo of the Cariboo Regional District which could give the impression that the Cariboo Regional District endorses the letter of Ms. Hornby.  I informed the CRD's Manager of Communications, via email, of this information yesterday and has committed to me that she'll be looking into this matter

The Cariboo Regional District Board is taking a more "hands-off" approach with regard to the 'New Prosperity' mine proposal, rather than its' "hands-on" and direct approach with the Prosperity Mine proposal.  In the meantime, use of a local government logo for any activity  by a private citizen is accepted as a "no-no" unless endorsed by the said local government by way of a passed Resolution (motion)

I'm not sure if this was a lapse in judgement or intentional but I'm sure that this won't be happening again if the Cariboo Regional District has anything to say about it
